W9 is an Italian film director who treats every frame like a design object and every set like a playground with too many creative possibilities.

Born in Northern Italy and trained between IED Turin and the New York Film Academy in Manhattan, he developed early on a love for bold imagery, storytelling and colour-driven visual worlds.

He began his career in fashion, directing stylized films for Dolce&Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci and Hugo Boss.

Along the way, he has worked with international talents including Scarlett Johansson, Gerard Butler, Monica Bellucci, Bianca Balti, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kylie Minogue, Ethan Peck and Jannik Sinner.

Today, W9 directs commercial campaigns for Sky, Netflix, Iliad, Tim, Lavazza, IngDirect, Leap Motor, McDonald’s, AC Milan, Ferrero and Fiat, with whom he has won some of the most important awards in advertising.

He has also directed music videos with strong cinematic influence and a high visual polish for artists such as Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, Annalisa and Anastasio.

Across all his work, W9 blends cinematic flair, graphic precision and playful irreverence, shaping stories where bold visuals meet humor and every frame aims to entertain, surprise and stay memorable.

He also lives with exactly 23 colours in his house for reasons no one fully understands, and his personal spirit-shade is fuchsia.
